Muraqqa-i-Chughtai

This is a reprint of Abdur Rahman Chughtai's first book. An introduction by James H. Cousins is followed by a Foreword by Dr. Sir Mohammad Iqbal and the complete text of the 'Diwan-i-Ghalib.' Initially published in 1928 with 34 illustrations, this reprint contains 30 illustrations (25 in colour); though two of them are not to be found in the first edition. It was published by Print Printo in Lahore, probably in the 1970s. The book is unpaginated, but contains approximately 200 pages. The book is in good condition. The dustjacket is frayed, torn, and scuffed in some places, mostly around the edges and at the corners. Gilt titling to the boards is bright, and the binding solid. There is some minor scuffing to the page edges, and to the title page. Apart from this the book is internally in excellent condition, with no flaws apart from some minor defects that accompany the printing process. Overall a fine copy of a rare book.
