The ramayan of valmiki

This rare English translation of the Indian epic was translated by Ralph T. H. Griffith and published by E. J. Lazarus & Co. in Benares in 1915. A memoir about Griffith by M. N. Vankataswami is followed by Griffith's 10-page introduction, after which comes the 607-page translation (which is supplemented by extensive footnotes). Rounding off the book are appendixes, additional notes, and an index. The book is in fair condition. The book has been rebound in plain black boards with new endpapers, and the binding is firm. Page edges are scuffed and marked. The text has a few page bends but is largely clean apart from some defects due to the printing process. The edge of one page is slightly chipped.
