Naqsh-i chughtai

Abdur Rahman Chughtai originally published this illustrated version of the 'Diwan-i Ghalib' in 1935 with 19 images, only one of which was in colour. This revised edition from the 1960s contains 22 illustrations, 6 of which are in colour. It is also superior to the later edition from the 1970s, which had fewer images and a lesser quality of paper and image reproduction. The book is approximately 7.4 inches wide, 9.1 inches tall, and 0.8 inches thick. The book is in good condition. The soft cloth covers are marked and worn; the spine has been rebacked. Endpapers are new; endpapers also exhibit some foxing and small stains, as well as an old bookseller stamp. Page edges are slightly scuffed and stained. A few internal pages have some staining to the bottom margins, but this does not interfere with the text or art. Apart from this the main text is quite clean and the binding firm.
