I Know My Shapes - Play Dough Mats- Set of 5

The mats are used to help young children learn shapes. Use one at a time and let your child play with play dough on the mat freely. Just call his/her attention to the pictures on the mat and talk about the shape. You can also play a game of making the shape on the mat with play dough with your child. Use these mats to encourage your child to find these shapes in their environment. Whilst learning how to create these shapes with play dough, you can talk about corners, sides, length, same/different sides, size comparison and ordering (small, big, bigger/ short/tall, fat/thin, etc) Our intention is to help parents and teachers make the learning and educational process as natural and fun as possible. Children learn through observation and inference while they play. Free play is very important for young children and helps develop confidence, imagination, creativity and language.
