Discovering Badgers.

This illustrated introduction to badgers, is part of the "Discovering nature" series which is designed to encourage children to find out more about nature. The author describes the characteristics of the nine species of badger, the habitats of the various types and their life in setts underground. The badger's feeding habits are discussed and their development from birth to maturity is traced. Finally the author looks at how man has persecuted the badger, hunting it for sport, meat and its fur, and gives information on how to watch them in the wild.
