Description
Volume II picks up following the conclusion of the momentous year of 1945. This volume takes Truman through the next seven years until he retires in January of 1953, after serving not quite eight years as President. We see a more confident Truman emerge here. He is no longer hobbled by the fact that FDR kept him in the dark about virtually everything during Truman's three month vice-presidency.
