Krenn and the Great Ring of Berren

For ages 10-15. Can Krenn find her own true family, and will she like them if she does? Why do people keep wanting to kill her, and how can she make them stop? You can read this as an adventure story, as an account of a girl's struggle to find out who she really is, or even as a picture of life five thousand years ago, when men and women very like ourselves thought it was absolutely right and proper to kill other people and offer them to the gods. Was this Stone Age or Bronze Age? Both, in different places. It depended where you lived and how far the newest fashions in farming and manufacture had got. Krenn and her foster- brother Jinsy find themselves caught between these two cultures, and forced to help build the great stone circle at Stonehenge.
