The blooding

Novel for older teenagers. Seventeen-year-old Col has lived all his life in a small logging township. When conservationists move into the area Col is torn between his wish for the forest to live, and the knowledge that if the logging is stopped his home town will die and his father will lose his job. Eventually a violent confrontation occurs, and Col is forced to re-examine his loyalties and values.
