Offered here are numerous standalone volumes from a series that was published by T. Fisher Unwin from 1886 to 1908. Each volume discusses a country/region/empire, is a few hundred pages in length and is accompanied by numerous illustrations and maps (some of them fold-outs). The books are in great condition for their age. Bindings are firm, though there is the occasional weak hinge. Almost all texts are clean, with just a couple of volumes evincing minor underlining or annotation in pen. Boards evince some fraying and wear, and some volumes are foxed. Overall these are in fine condition for their age.
