From humble Italian origins, Jon Bon Jovi has become one of America's leading rock musicians. In the early 1980s he was sweeping out recording studios for heroes such as Bruce Springsteen and the Rolling Stones; a few years later his own band emerged from obscurity to eclipse the record sales of all their peers, selling over 40 million albums worldwide in little more than a decade.
