Description
This collection of published and edited articles on artists in Pakistan is by way of being a personal appreciation and homage to the gallant and talented artists met through the years. I have been fortunate to meet many of the earlier outstanding painters and observe with great excitement and interest the younger artists making their presence felt in presents times. Marjorie Hussain is a well-known art critic who has been engaged for over two decades in promoting Pakistan’s art and culture both in the country and abroad. She has curated and organized art exhibitions both at home and in foreign countries, written a history of art in the subcontinent for the Pacific Asia Museum, Pasadena, USA, traced the history of art in Pakistan for a book on Karachi: Megacity of Our Times (OUP), compiled and edited a book on Basher Mirza, and written a book for Oxford University Press: Aspects of Art.
