From sorrow to the stars

Let’s skip the part where I could’ve told you that this book is about how to traverse from hopeless melancholy to the realm of stars. This book is about what we decide to happen between you and me, whatever will happen when you draw yourself up from the depths of everything that aches to everything that’s glorious. We will create a place among the stars and soar above the sorrows, grief, melancholia, heartbreak, rage, emptiness, numbness or whatever you label your weakness to be. This book isn’t about the people you’ve loved or the people you never got to have. It is about how you and I managed to climb over all the obstacles and all the heartbreak and managed to create a sanctuary here. A sanctuary where we read a few pages for you, that might mean something to you one day. And for me to write and pour my love into words so they might comfort you like warm sunlight on a cold winter day. This book is about us. How we loved in our own ways. How we didn’t give up and tried in the ways we knew. How we had dreams and nightmares and despite living in reality. How the both of us exist in our own beautiful ways. How we broke tragically and how we healed gracefully. This book isn’t a mere collection of poetry and prose. It is my hand that held a pen wrote on a crowd ness of papers I might find solace between these pages. It is my body that sat restless in a chair, awaiting relief which was found in writing a meaningful poem. This book is about the words. How they fit together and give a meaning. A life to a sentence. How they undress emotions, tearing away their veneers. It’s about you and I struggling, hand in hand, trying to find a beacon of light to illuminate our paths in the endless dark. And I hope you might find that luminance, that solace, that comfort in this random book resting on a bookshelf and may your eyes crave to read the words which were penned by my love for your contentment.
