Trade winds

An anthology of poems which gives GCSE students the opportunity of reading, in English, poems from China, India, Pakistan, Africa and the Caribbean. The book contains background information on all the poets and coursework material and assignments are included for both independant and group work. The poems are grouped into individual cultures and provide an insight for the student into the poetry of other countries. A thematic contents list is provided and there are suggestions for schematic coursework. The book also includes a glossary of poetic terms to help students when discussing the poems.
