Molecular and cell Biology along with genetic engineering gives the basis of advanced research in medicine. The function of biomolecules can be explained if we find their interaction with other proteins of known function. Moreover, the function of a protein can be found by overexpression and inhibiting its expression first in cultured cells. The authentication of the function of a protein is confirmed at invivo level by knocking out the gene in animals like mouse. Our manual on ‘Experimental Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Series II’ includes experimental protocols related to Molecular Biology, Basic tools of Bioinformatics, Cell Biology, Recombinant DNA technology, and Genetic Engineering. While designing the experiments, we focused on the practices of Biochemical and Molecular Biology labs. The practical approach of this notebook will be very useful for both undergraduate and graduate students. The concepts and methodologies of the Molecular Biology, Cell Biology along with Genetic Engineering will be very useful for students in the research of medicine and genetics. Principle, materials, procedure, conclusion, significance and exercise has been provided in every experiment that gives rational thinking. Especially the appendices contain recipes for many reagents that are used in advanced life science research. This manual has been designed for at least three courses of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. This manual has several protocols from my Ph.D. research work. This practical manual has been designed according to HEC syllabus. Ninety-five (98) full-length experiments are included with each experiment has been provided with exercise experiment that doubles the number. The courses are taught to the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students at University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) and at other universities in Pakistan.
