Town parrot

This is a study of the blue-fronted Amazon parrot, and one in particular, called Turkey. Turkey shares the top floor of a London house with a writer called Ann. They have breakfast together, then Turkey has a snooze. Turkey likes sorting through drawers and cupboards and she attacks the telephone when it rings. The book is interspersed with information on blue-fronted Amazon parrots. It also includes an introductory note on adopting parrots - with the address of the World Parrot Trust - and points out the cruelty of the international trade in wild birds.
