Description
Second edition of an autobiographical account of recovery and self-discovery following the author's near death in a car accident. Author worked as a surgeon and rehabilitation specialist, but this time he was the patient. The effects on his body, emotions, family life and career are described from both personal and medical perspectives. This edition includes a new 12-page foreword in which the author reflects on experiences surrounding the publication of the book in 1991. Author is currently Medical Director at the Mt Eliza Centre, Victoria. Other works include 'Echoes of the Early Tides'.
