Lost teenage years

A vivid account of family life during the war years. The author describes childhood games in great detail including the children's cinema clubs and collecting sharpnel from ack-ack shells and many other pastimes. During the author's military service he relates his experiences in army camps and the austere life in England after the war was over. His subsequent working life and marriage and children contain elements of tragedy but difficulties are overcome to secure a bright future.
